This is an interesting question that I touched upon in my last blog post. I think the most important thing is to make sure you know the difference between the various types of digital art. I would try to find out what type of art they are talking about. Is it an image? Is it video? Is it a music album? Is it a game? Is it software? If it is an image or video, you'd probably be better off selling little clips of that work. If it is a game, you should probably be selling a few copies of it. If it is software, you might consider selling a license. I think the main thing is to not get too excited about the sale and to make sure you aren't selling a piece of art that doesn't make sense for you to be selling.
